London-via-Poland electro-pop artist MM’99 has revealed her anthemic new cut, ‘S4M’. It’s a big, bold statement of a track that finds an experimental middle ground between eurotrance and hyper-pop, with the hypnotic wobble of synth guiding the track alongside her revenge-seeking voice. She describes the track as being “about processing trauma and going through the stages of recovery like the stages of grief. It’s definitely my angriest, most aggressive release yet and it required me to push some boundaries for myself with the crunchy production and more direct, less-drenched-in-reverb vocals. Even though the song is about one of my darkest and saddest experiences, the lyrics firmly reject the position of a victim, reject the suffering and disallow pain, so there is only space for expression and freedom.” The accompanying video, whose colour palette matches the track’s deftly nostalgic sound, is a tribute to David Lynch’s Inland Empire. MM’99 plays London’s The Windmill on September 23rd, 2026.
