Toronto-based artist Kyla Marlena has released her new single, ‘21’. Her classical background underpins the track, with cyclical guitar ostinatos underpinning her folky vocal melodies before building toward atsmopheric, swirling instrumentals led by graceful saxophone. At points, the track bursts into life as a piece of gritty alt-rock. Kyla Marlena is gearing up to release her debut album, Hold Time, on November 6th, 2026, via Idée Fixe Records. “To me, this record feels alive. Like it has a pulse," Marlena says of the album. "Its dynamic within and between songs, it can be unpredictable.”
