‘Scam Manifesto’ is the new single and video from Irish post-punk trio M(h)aol. It’s an intense, relentless track built around a skittish drum pattern and the noisy rumble of distorted guitar and bass which eventually forms a low, creeping drone. Drummer and vocalist Constance Keane says she wrote the track “during one of my semi-regular social media breaks. My entire feed was 'how to lose the last 5 lbs’ and obituaries for people I didn’t know. It’s about the guilt I feel about my own hypocrisy. Publicly, I say that as a woman it’s my right to be as ugly and old as I want and still value myself, while privately I was consistently fixating on a list of things I would change about my appearance.” Keep an eye out for more from the Dublin-formed band throughout the rest of 2026.
