A decade into their existence, Vanishing Twin continue to push boundaries on their amorphous new offering 'Sugar Stone'. Now a trio, with members scattered between London and rural France, vocalist Cathy Lucas explains: “Sugar Stone is about how time feels to me right now at this moment in my life. It can be counted now at the breakneck rate of an infant’s changing eyes.” Sonically capturing this sense of impermanence, the three connected by swapping songs and fragments of instrumentals in a virtual studio space, resulting in their forthcoming album Archives. Existing amongst a wave of artists concerned more with exploration than anything else, Vanishing Twin are an underground supergroup with an admirable dedication to what's weird and wonderful.
