A dream project for many artists, Ulrika Spacek have shared an entirely reimagined version of their most recent album EXPO. Out now via Full Time Hobby, EXPO, REMIXED is a carefully curated collection of pieces by some of the most innovative artists around. Featuring contributions from caroline, YHWH Nailgun, good sad happy bad, more eaze and many more, fans can gain a more intimate understanding of their sonic interests, whilst enjoying recognisable remnants of the record in an entirely new context. The closing piece by wing! is a glitchy, electronic take on 'Picto'. Setting descending segments of bass guitar beneath rippling layers of synths and twinkling trip-hop beats, it's a track you can really lose your inhibitions to. Speaking of the project as a whole, the band explain: “After a few months of letting our version into the world, it felt like a good time to share the individual layers with other artists to see what they could build with our blocks of sound. We really like how it came out as it provides an alternative world of EXPO and each remix really reflects what we like about the artists we asked in the first place. In many ways we are quite an inward looking band, so collaborating in this way was a nice contrast to our usual way of working”.
