New York City duo Trinket have announced their signing to Brooklyn-based label Take Care Records, alongside the release of ‘If Not Soon Then Now’. It’s a groovy song defined by the off-beat fuzz of distorted guitar chords and a shuffling drum pattern. The vocal melodies tell a different story, with a sweet pop sensibility offsetting the rock textures beneath. “This song is very directly about starting a relationship with someone new; it’s exciting, but you quickly realize that insecurities, fears, and things you’ve dealt with in past relationships don’t go away just because you’ve started over,” the band explains. “It’s also about having something that you’re excited about and are scared you’re going to ruin it with those insecurities. It’s almost like just the fear of it makes your worries come true.” Check out the track’s music video, and catch the band live in New York on November 7th, 2026.
