Effortlessly moving from strength to strength, London trio thredd continue to excel on 'Swimming'. Anchored by a huge synth line (instantly recognisable from their live performances at Green Man and End of the Road this summer), 'Swimming' takes the band's cool electronic pop to the next level. Maintaining a slightly menacing undercurrent, that we felt on their astonishing debut album It's Lovely, Come On In, an unexpected jazz break shows another side to this multi-dimensional outfit. Fronted by Imogen and the Knife's knowing vocals, Will Lister's blistering production and Max Winter's sultry approach to songwriting is a match made in heaven on 'Swimming'. It's almost not fair, how good they really are.
