‘Tear Him To Pieces’ is the latest release from rising Belfast-born, North West England-based alt-grunge artist Tender Claws. It’s an atmospheric cut that brings together infectious pop melodies and a gritty, distorted grunge edge. There is a gothic undertone to the track, but it remains laced with a joyous passion. Tender Claws’ brand new debut EP, also called Tear Him To Pieces, “explores the idea of corrupted and lost innocence, and tainted idealism, in various guises. I don’t like to restrict myself too much thematically or in terms of production between songs, which I think is apparent in this debut EP. Each song on this EP provides a different texture and mood.
