‘Twinge’ is the new release from alt-grunge solo artist Tender Claws. Her sound is alluring and ethereal, with a surprisingly expansive production style considering the close-up grit of the distorted grunge riffs that sit at the track’s core. Tender Claws’ voice is laced with a meaningful catharsis that is mirrored in her words. “I wanted to write an upbeat, in-your-face song to, ironically, have some fun while processing the feelings stemming from a relationship that I had really hoped would develop into something more, ending quite abruptly,” he explains on the track. “It left me quite devastated at the time. Despite things not going the way I wanted, I felt some freedom from being ‘released’ from a connection that was making me feel anxious and small in a way.” Tender Claws’ debut EP, Tear Him To Pieces, drops on August 7th, 2026.
