The latest single from Glasgow-based synth artist and producer Susan Bear is ‘Eternal Afternoon’. It’s a warm, blissful piece of IDM that uses a range of analogue and vintage synths from the Glasgow Library of Synthesized Sound to craft airy, nostalgic trance that swirls, flows and twists. Of the inspiration behind the track, she says: “I usually hate summer to be honest with you, but it was a bad winter, so I was dreaming of summer. I usually feel a bit lonely in the summer, I think it’s a hangover from everyone leaving Glasgow to go home to their families in the summer when I was at university (I grew up in Glasgow). More recently I’ve felt like I enjoy longer evenings, and summer now I have a group of friends.” This is the latest in a series of impressive synth work from Bear, be sure to keep an eye out for more.
