Connecticut indie rock quintet sundots have returned with their new single, ‘Distraction’. With the track, the band experiment with space and textural ebb and flow. Despite clocking in at just three minutes, the track grows slowly from its buoyant opening moments, through a gentle instrumental and into a cathartic climax. “I think this track informed a new approach for us to songwriting together as a band,” says Drew Collins. “I brought the skeleton of this track to the band maybe a week before our first tour with Panchiko. We were all so excited about it that we finished writing it and drilled it enough to have it ready for the tour. It definitely felt like a departure in sound from some of our other tracks, but people on tour seemed super receptive to it.” sundots are releasing their new album, On The Quay, on November 6th, 2026.
