‘Never Odd or Even’ is the new single and video from rising New York band Starcleaner Reunion. They’re a complex, hard to define band that have established a retro-futurist sound that feels both hazy and nostalgic, yet intensely current at the same time. Musically, they push and pull between a lilting 5/4 groove and an furious, motorik rush of rigid rhythms. The debut album from Starcleaner Reunion, Umbrella, drops on September 25th, 2026, via Take Care Records. On writing the album, they add: “This is maybe the first time where we were writing without any self-imposed limitations regarding how we’d translate the songs live.”
