Working across a range of modes of composition and performance, alone and with others, Irish artist Seán Being has announced their debut album Thank Goodness. Headed up by the melancholy yet utterly charming 'Lost Ones', the album combines voice, bass, piano, viola, harpsichord and fake drums through Being's gently unique lens. Reminiscent of some of Alex G's most playful works, there's something softer and more tender at play here. Lyrically vulnerable and structurally unexpected, silence and space play a crucial part in the composition as a blissed out vocal melody feels like it could go on forever. With the album set to land in 10 days (30th of October) and a launch show at Peckham's Vesper's on the 20th of November, the timing feels perfect for some autumn reflection.
