Rising London-based singer-songwriter Roxanne de Bastion has revealed her new tune, ‘Apocalypse Queen’. It’s a creative, playful track that shows off the alt-pop energy at the core of her songwriting. Her hooks are bold and simple, and there’s an almost post-rock minimalism in the driving, bass-heavy rhythms that underpin the track, yet occasional flourishes of experimentalism keep the track moving. She says that it’s “about embracing your strength, realising your power and unleashing our potential, possibly just in time for the end of days. If we’re going out, we’re going out loud!” Roxanne’s new album, Here Lies Human, is out on February 12th, 2027, and she tours the UK in the weeks after its release.
