‘For Yves’ is the latest track from shoegaze trio Roomer. Built around the overlapping twang of subtly dissonant guitar chords and the distant fuzz of bass, it’s one of the Berlin band’s most atmospheric tracks yet. The band describe this track as “an ode to friendship and the people who carry us through. Written as a birthday gift, the song finds hope in shared moments, loud laughter, and the simple comfort of knowing someone is there.” It also feels more refined, leaving behind the live energy of their debut for a studio setting that could capture the feel and uncertainty of the improvisations that spawned the songs on their upcoming album. Their second album, Staircase Made of Rope, arrives on September 18th, 2026, via Squama Recordings.
