RIP Magic
List Pick
May 7, 2026
Currently embarking on a massive tour supporting Tame Impala, London innovators RIP Magic share 'Screwdark' via their new label home section1. Sonically eclectic (to say the least), 'Screwdark' opens to cinematic samples doused in tailing dub delays. Nodding to Robbie Williams' 'Rock DJ' (consciously or otherwise), vocalist Marco Pini slurs 'Cos you're keeping me up all night' before picking up the pace. Gritty, lo-fi yet completely danceable, chorus-y guitars nod to 80s post-punk, whilst grungy bass riffs collide with artificial brass. With what's sure to be a busy year ahead of them, RIP Magic are showing zero signs of slowing down.
