Irish experimental artist Róis – aka Rose Connolly, one of the best acts we saw at End of the Road a few weeks ago – has signed to Domino, and has celebrated with the release of an unsettlingly powerful live performance of 'WHAT DO YOU SAY' from 2024 album MÓ LEAN, ostensibly played at a wake.

It's an astonishing performance: Connolly's voice soars and lilts with real power and grace, traditional Celtic folk motifs combining with a very modern sense of drama in her melodies, as thick clouds of synth and bass seethe far beneath. The video of the wake is nicely done too, with mourners lamenting the passing of an old friend in the 'prime of his life: only 97'.

A remastered edition of MÓ LEAN, featuring new music, comes out via Domino on 20 November.
