A name on everyone's lips and for good reason (excuse the crude imagery), PISS continue to reject palatability on 'Rote Zora. “Resistance is Possible.” Emma, no. 6, June 1984, pp. 39-41.'. Reflected in its inconveniently long title (which references the origin of the lyrics), PISS are nothing but honest in their art. Soundtracked by thick layers of menacing guitars, vocalist Taylor Zantingh's reading is characteristically raw and emotive. Conducting the instrumentation, which behaves like an intensified take on punctuation, it's an intense and highly intelligent call to action, which culminates in the repetition of part of the piece's name sake. Hammering home the message, the track is accompanied by an animated collage video by multidisciplinary artist Eila Vallevand, which highlights a range of resistance movements involving/led by women.
