Giving us insight to her unique point of view, Slovakian-born and London-based artist Petra steps into power with 'I Am God'. Sitting comfortably in its tempo, Petra's accomplished vocal melodies guide the track. Moving through atmospheric key changes with the gradual introduction of chugging guitars and esoteric sound effects, 'I Am God' is a satisfying alt-pop anthem with just the right dose of surrealism. Meant somewhat literally, Petra explains: “I am disgustingly convinced I am something more than a human. Here behind these closed doors I am God. Until this manic leaves and I’m just a girl wasting her life away by always being miserable.” She will perform at Pitchfork Paris this Friday (the 6th of November).
