With a little persuasion from friends, 'BOWIE' is the intimate and pared-back new single from otta. Taken from her forthcoming album ASTRA, otta strips away complexity here to reveal 2 minutes of quiet, off-kilter contemplation. Still unusual and instantly recognisable as the work of the British Finnish songwriter, she explains: “the idea of making more stripped back music scares me, and this is a cute moment of the album, I like the perspective in it. I was listening to so much Wings and Paul Mcartney at the time and think it reminded me how much I love just songwriting and being direct. I wouldn't have immediately picked this as a single but feedback from friends was that it would be good one, so I kind of just wanted to see." Promising to be a thoroughly brilliant body of work, ASTRA comes to land on the 20th November via löyly.
