Brought to our attention via Double Dare!, Shovel Dance Collective member Nick Granata announces their debut solo album with a pair of singles ‘Rabbits! and 'Birdies!’. Focussing on the former, 'Rabbits!' is a rousing tour of the countryside. Uniting in its call and response verses, choruses break out into solitary thought, playing out like a stream of consciousness. In their own words: "'Rabbits!' tarries longingly on scenes in transit; looking out onto the patch quilt landscape with your headphones on and exclaiming at the sight of rabbits, playing twenty questions and guessing Richard and Judy multiple times, getting all out of puff on a long walk with an athletic family, losing your bearings but not caring because you’re with people you love." The charmingly-titled My Heart is Running Backwards! A Martial Artist! With a Closed Fist! Woof! consists of 7 equally idiosyncratic pieces that will arrive on the 24th of July.
