Natalie Wildgoose

‘Sibyl’ is the latest track from lo-fi folk singer-songwriter Natalie Wildgoose. As always, her sound is introspective and moving. Recording directly onto tape creates an ethereal, nostalgic quality that almost makes her soft songs feel like archive recordings. Her guitar provides the main accompaniment to her effortless voice, yet the distant, unrefined strings are what provide the track its most emotive qualities. ‘Sibyl’ is taken from Natalie Wildgoose’s new EP, Rural Hours, out now via state51. Of the EP, she says: “Being in such remote and at times difficult places, where our everyday worries become so small and tiny, for me was so important when influencing the writing. I am beyond thankful to them for trusting me.”
