Miami-based indie rock band Mustard Service have revealed their latest track, ‘Who Knew Your Body’. The band have a unique sound that take influences from rock, jazz, funk, surf and bossa nova and put them up against rhythmic and melodic influences from Cuba, Mexico, Argentina and Uruguay. This is a vibrant, hazy cut that feels plucked directly out of a bright summer day - simple melodies, velvety guitar lines and upbeat drums. “This song acts as a critique on the romanticization of cliche hallmark/rom-com relationships,” explains vocalist Marco Rivero Ochoa, on the lyrics that take the track to a deeper place than it might sound. “The song starts from the POV of a mentally ill man who’s come to a harsh realization; he’s accidentally killed his partner, who has threatened to leave him in a love-sick frenzy.” The band are working on a new album.
