Brooklyn experimental artist more eaze (real name Mari Rubio) is releasing her second album of the year, valley and structure, in October. It's also her second for venerable Chicago leftfield label Thrill Jockey, and the latest addition to a fast-expanding discography that also includes collaborations with the likes of claire rousay, Faye Webster and Chanel Beads.

She has announced the record with 'what's wrong with the structure?', a flowing, meditative study in overlapping strings, keys and woodwind that unfolds gradually in minimalist style. The album was performed and arranged with an ensemble comprising some real heavyeights – Wendy Eisenberg, Jade Guterman, Conner Simmons, Nora Stanley, and Sammy Weissberg – and you can hear their mastery of their craft in each movement of this introductory piece. It's lovely.
