‘The Art Of Falling Apart’ is the new tune from Mollie Coddled. It’s a self-deprecating track that hides a very personal message behind its humour. Musically, she builds an impressively off-kilter landscape full of chorus-soaked guitars and shimmering synth textures that support her slowly stacking harmonies. “I work in cycles of manic to depressive,” she explains. “For me, hitting rock-bottom is the only way to regain my lust for life; it’s the only time I start to feel better. The Art Of Falling Apart isn’t for clean girls who go to the gym and get A’s on their schoolwork, it’s for the people forgetting to eat and shower, bed-rotting until 4am and then going “why the f**k am I so tired” every day.” This is the first taste of a project set to be revealed later in the year.
