LA-based singer-songwriter Maddie Regent has returned with her latest track, ‘Lizzy’. It’s a cinematic piece of pop that combines a conversational lyrical style that captures the dynamic between two people desperate not to fall in love. Regent says: “My favorite love stories start with two enemies who spend all their time fighting their attraction to one another. I wanted to write a song that captured that stubborn inevitable love.” Musically, it’s an incredibly melodic track that places her effortless voice above a folky, poppy accompaniment.
