Liza Lo, a London-based singer-songwriter and producer, has revealed her new release, ‘Birdsong’. It’s an intimate track, in part thanks to being recorded with just three microphones direct to tape, and in part due to her warm, emotive voice and the layers of fiddle and double bass that complement her acoustic guitar to complete the texture. She describes the single as “a gentle early morning reminder for the lightness and ease in life. A song about friendship and romance. Life can get overwhelming and the simple things are easily forgotten and overlooked. First morning coffees, meeting someone new, real connection, holding hands, song of birds in the garden, sunlight on your face after a long period of rain and grey.” Give her debut album, Familiar, a listen before she embarks on his first ever US tour this March. -Dan Peeke.
