Singer-songwriter Lisa LeBlanc has released her new single, ‘Too Many Cooks’. With this cut, she blends the influence of country and funk. Wobbly bass explores syncopated grooves and an elegant brass arrangement adds luscious flair to the arrangement; on the other hand, the simple drum kit shuffle, Chet Atkins-esque fingerpicked guitar riff, and twanging vocal line evoke catchy country at its finest. On the music video that accompanies the track, LeBlanc says: “The music video for Too Many Cooks is inspired by a reality cooking show where contestants host the other participants in their homes. I'm competing against little mischievous puppets who are trying to sabotage my chances to win.” Her new album, Patchwork, arrives on February 5th, 2027, via Bonsound.
