Prolific producer Kwes Darko (fka Blue Daisy) has dropped a long-awaited solo EP. Out now via Black Acre God of the Youth is a serious mood. Tumbling down lo-fi rabbit holes of overblown beats, dub-inspired samples and icy electronics, the result is simultaneously cutting edge and sinister. Playing out like the soundtrack to a dystopian fairground, 'Prayers deceased' is dizzying, tormenting and oddly irresistible. Refusing to provide a narrative for the body of work, Darko explains: “Listen, the anarchy is yours to interpret. No explanation needed, it’s left to be interpreted however the listener decides, once it’s in the world it doesn’t matter how or what I felt anymore, it’s about what they feel.”
