Geordie jazz trio Knats have revealed their latest single, ‘Bowling Ball’. The ascending band have continued to build on their signature sound, which places potent poetry above a unique mixture of jazz chords, groovy horn melodies and an eventual build toward warped and dramatic avant-rock textures full of dissonance and rhythmic twists. The band explain that the track was written “in response to the disgusting rise of the far right across the UK. It was written a few days after attending the counter-protest against the EDL on the West Road, in the west end of Newcastle.” The track features artwork from Jim Moir (Vic Reeves) and comes alongside the announcement of an extensive Autumn UK headline tour.
