Leeds-based duo Kiosk have returned with their darkwave-tinged cut, ‘Baby Teeth’. The track continues the pair’s collaboration with Berlin/Leeds DJ Subaru. It’s built out above a simple, chugging bassline and a tinny electronic drum groove, but complemented by unusual, glitchy textures that provide an atmospheric darkness that interacts with vocalist Bella’s aloof vocal lines. Resulting in a sound they’ve lovingly termed ‘Leedstronica’. “Lyrically, Baby Teeth is about growing up and leaving things behind,” says Bella. “When we wrote it I was thinking about an old friend who I’m no longer in contact with.
