Bradford artist and rapper kenzo jae has revealed his newest cut, ‘end of the world’. It’s a flamboyant track with the wonky funk of disco-inspired bass lines and Daft Punk-esque electronic textures providing a bed for his unique voice. He can move effortlessly from a laid-back, R&B delivery to a smooth rap flow that slots surprisingly well into the subtly apocalyptic vibe of the track. “I wanted ‘end of the world’ to feel like the last song playing while everything collapses around you - something people could still dance to. I was listening to a lot of Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds while making it and loved how theatrical and cinematic it felt. The song opens with a lot of energy before slowly drifting into something colder and emptier by the end.” kenzo jae’s new album, SLOTH, is out on EMI North Records label partner Launchpad+ on July 17th, 2026.
