Jeremy Tuplin
List Pick
October 22, 2026
Cult London singer-songwriter Jeremy Tuplin has a characteristically subtle, smart new single out today via Trapped Animal. 'Sad Lands' is an understated, low-lit ballad centred upon an intimate vocal line and a cyclical synth progression that gradually spreads outwards, delicate and fluid. It's the kind of track that threatens to build or resolve in cinematic style, but keeps its powder dry instead, and is all the more powerful for its restraint. “In one sense it's definitely a love song”, Tuplin has said, "[But] you can insert your own version of a meaning to what this ‘sad lands’ could be; as always it's open to interpretation.
'Sad Lands' is taken from Tuplin's new EP Planet Hell, which will also feature a collaboration with BC Camplight.
