London is feeling scorched at the moment: overlapping heatwaves have parched the city, yellowing its parks and draining its reservoirs. It's hard to do all that much beyond sitting and sweating. Intentionally or not, north London-based Nigerian composer Ibukun Sunday provides the perfect balm on new track 'Edge', a loose, glistening meditation built around a chiming arpeggio and tasteful blotches of resonance. It's cooling and gentle without being entirely without focus or intent: there's enough here to latch onto, but it all feels very measured and self-sufficient.

It's a sonic reprieve from the elements, and the latest track to be taken from Sunday's new album Olùsìn, out 28 August on the reliably excellent ambient label Phantom Limb.
