‘Sore Loser’ is the new track from Hex Girlfriend, a project from James Knott and Noah Yorke. The track continues the band’s current excellent form, crafting an industrial electronic landscape that feels Nine Inch Nails-adjacent but topped with a memorable pop hook. Its instrumental sections are explosive and propulsive, with winding synths and walls of distortion colliding to form an absorbing texture. They say of the track: “‘Sore Loser’ is a song about trying to see yourself from an outside perspective and putting your frustrations and problems into a wider context.” Catch the duo live around the UK and Europe in March 2027. -Dan Peeke.
