Helen Ganya, a Brighton-based singer-songwriter, has revealed her new track, ‘Panic Button’. “It’s probably my closest attempt at writing a ‘blues’ song,” Ganya adds. “It’s a bit hedonistic, but mainly just absurd.” These blues influences find their way into the heavily swung freedom with which she plays, while a gritty tone to the bass beneath and her airy, distinctive vocal bring her into the modern day. It’s a hazy, dreamy cut that suggests big things to come from Ganya. She’ll be playing live at Brighton’s Hope & Run on May 16th, 2026. -Dan Peeke.
