Grace Ives has revealed her latest single, ‘Stupid Bitches’. It’s an expansive, wildly playful track that leans into a maximalist sound that somehow ends up feeling lo-fi in presentation thanks to the crunch of drums and perfectly mismatched sampling. It opens with a sonically ambitious, wide string sample that surrounds the listener, before the verses strip back to reveal Ives’ subtly distorted voice above huge drums and grumbling basslines. The chorus is a manic mesh of experimental sounds that shows an artist in flux. “I shifted from escaping to exploring,” says Grace. “Having some personal freedom made me realize that I’m allowed to take up space—to be social, to talk about how I feel, to try new things. This album is about giving myself room to fail, to experiment, and to become more honest in the music.” Her new album, GIRLFRIEND, is out on March 20th, 2026, via True Panther / Polydor.
