A band that made a visceral impact on us life at End of the Road last year, Glasshouse Red Spider Mite return with 'Hell 1000'. Their first tune in over a year was worth the wait as layers of moody guitar merge with accomplished vocal melodies and a cool delivery. Leaning into shoegaze tropes with originality and a sense of urgency, bassist Alex (who sings lead on this track) explains: “Hell 1000 examines a burgeoning new relationship. How the fall of man gives rise to machine. A glimpse into how our emotions and achievements will mean nothing in the world we give to AI. How the world’s elite run the media we consume whilst playing peekaboo, as they avoid responsibility for the inevitable mess they’re creating.” If one thing's for sure, AI could never write a song this good.
