Manchester punk quartet GETNER have dropped their debut single, ‘Motorman’. The band say: “Our songs are steeped in the history of Ireland, in particularly volatile times, that we heard stories, read about, seen the aftermath and passed down trauma surrounding it as we grew up.” Musically, they’re equally volatile, with punchy drums surrounding the uber-fuzz of guitars and bass and an intense vocal drifting from sinister speech to energetic shout.
