On the road to the release of his second album Matinee, New York-based producer Deer park looks inwards on 'Feathers'. Profound and uncomplicated, the concise cut feels breezy and natural, like a leaf blowing in the wind. Punctuated by chimes, verses flow effortlessly into choruses as jaunty keys work their way around tumbling guitar lines. Admittedly one of the last songs finished for the album, 'Feathers' is "an introspective celebration of its themes — interlaced melodies washed in green". Serving as proof of Deer Park's songwriting proficiency (and a sign of things to come), we're enjoying the the simplicity here and can't wait to hear what's next. Aptly arriving in spring, Matinee will be released on the 26th March 2027.
