Sussex-based quartet daresay have announced their signing to Hit The North Records with the release of their debut single, ‘featherweight’. It’s an enormously melodic track full of widescreen textures defined by the subtle crunch of guitar and powerful drums and topped with a memorable indie rock vocal performance. Vocalist George McCanna explains that the track is “about picking yourself up, about trying again after defeat. Gleaming insight from past failures and choosing to start again rather than give up. It can be tempting at the low points of life to believe they are a conclusion. ‘Featherweight’ is about choosing not to do that.” Keep an eye out for new music from daresay, as well as a slew of live shows this summer.
