‘Chives’ is the latest piece from acclaimed ambient artist Damian Dalla Torre. The multitalented artist has developed a textured piece that is as much a musical work as it is a reflection of the elemental sound of an environment, with acoustic rhythmic patterns unfolding against natural sound recordings. He says this piece “captures a small moment at high altitude. Cooking in a mountain hut, cutting herbs, the crackling of a wood-fired stove nearby. The rhythm of chopping chives inspired the track’s pulse, and these sounds can be heard through the recording.” The new album from Damian Dalla Torre, People Pleaser, is out on June 12th, 2026, via Squama Recordings.
