With a title that sparks instant intrigue, 'Dooms Banjo' is the entrancing second single from Cusk. Emerging from some of London's coolest grassroots spots, the duo (consisting of Esmé Creed-Miles and Evie Hilyer-Ziegler) found each other through an improv night that sent them down a shared path of discovery. Following a glowing reception of their debut single 'Blu tac piano', 'Dooms Banjo' cements their penchant for exploration. Part poetry, part art-rock banger, folky strings and the all-important banjo fuse seamlessly with powerful drums and an atmosphere that seems to transcend time and space. Releasing their debut EP on the 14th of August (via The Bird Records), Cusk are ones you'll want to be aware of sooner rather than later.
