Dublin-based noise rock trio Bucket have returned with their latest track, ‘Memento’. Their abrasive sound is out in full force throughout this cut, with layers of distorted guitars and huge metal riffs merging with a distant, shouted vocal. However, they fill the track with an eerie texture through heavy reverb, low droning bass lines and the disconcerting click of snare rims. It ends up as a track of two halves, framed as an interior monologue: “It’s a fictional story about trauma and violence. The narrator looks back on the moment they reached their breaking point and took revenge on their childhood bullies, still connected to it - revisiting the scene and holding onto the weapons. There’s a weight to it, but also satisfaction in ending their torment.” The band’s new EP, Mosaic, is out on April 29th, 2026.
