German artist BROCKHOFF has revealed her new track, ‘Blue Star’. It’s a distant, bittersweet piece of alt-indie that captures uncertainty in its textural merging of an accompaniment built around uplifting, jangly guitars and lyrics about “wallowing in the thoughts of ‘What if’. Like, ‘what if we’d worked out, what if I’d give it another try, what if I’d kissed you at the front door…' kind of thoughts. I wanted to write a positive song about a past relationship but it immediately felt a bit shaky and risky at the same time as it felt comforting in a way. I was afraid that seeing this person again will stir things up again.” ‘Blue Star’ is taken from BROCKHOFF’s new album, Easy Peeler, which is out now.
