London-based newcomer quartet Bone China have revealed their second single, ‘You’re Wonderful’. The band specialise in a blurry take on indie rock – distant, lo-fi sounds collide with restrained drums and the hazy textures of grungy guitars while vocalist Luke Stanton retains the semi-improvised vocal style that brought the track to life out of initial recording sessions. “This song covers a few different narratives,” says Stanton. “It follows the romance of a distanced relationship. It confesses self-awareness and punctures the bubble of uncertainty into a confusing mess of this and that. As time went on I started to realise this track wasn't necessarily my story but a collection of stories I'd absorbed and resonated with. It celebrates women and confesses the frustration of man but colours in the gaps with a playfulness.” Keep an eye out for more from the band in the coming months, and catch them live in London twice in November.
