Manchester trio Bleep Test have revealed their new single, ‘Eyes Wide Open’. It’s a relentless piece of post-punk that brings together the band’s new wave and goth influences into a relentless, hard-hitting track. The persistent siren of synth and four-on-the-floor bass drum add an element of urgency to the track which is only furthered by skittish drums and layers of overlapping vocal. The band say the track “rails against those upstanding citizens who would rather stick their head in the sand than acknowledge the UK’s role in the Palestinian genocide. The number of “empty cots” mentioned in the lyrics has continued to increase with every passing day. If silence is complicity, this is our loudest song.” The band’s debut EP, Out Of Breath, is out on September 11th, 2026, via PRAH Recordings.
