Making her debut via Slow Dance's 25th compilation at the start of the year, Beth Jones steps into her own on 'Faro'. Like an edgier Laura Marling, Jones' storytelling is vivid and relatable. Anchored by building layers of organic instrumentation, 'Faro' creeps up on you like a long-term relationship. Ambient and dissonant with crystal clear vocals, Jones' approach as a singer-songwriter is an intriguing one and we're curious to hear what comes next. Accompanied by a tasteful video, shot by Kitty Handley (aka fellow TMR tip KITTY), Beth Jones is one to watch on the London alt-folk circuit.
