There’s something almost matter-of-fact about it. Rather than leaning into the usual drama of a breakup song, she approaches the whole thing with cool, understated clarity, and somehow that makes it hit even harder.

The North London singer has been beautifully blurring the lines between neo-soul, electronic and hip-hop in her newer work, and 'Overdraft' feels like another example of that world she’s creating.
