Arriving alongside the announcement of her debut album Stereocaulon, 'Syncopate' is the enveloping new single from innovative guitarist Angelica. Signed to Italian experimental label Haunter Records, Angelica picked up a guitar at the age of 10 and used it to explore her shifting musical interests before landing somewhere entirely unique. With percussive samples giving way to waves of reverb and delayed-drenched guitars, there's something gothic going on here that's ethereal and completely cutting edge. Treating noise and melody with equal importance, 'Syncopate' is a haunting piece of contemporary avant-garde guitar music that dips its ghostly toes into the harshest corners of electronic industrialism.
